The meeting was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans, The Chair and Secretary of the GPMPR as well as the strategic planning document drafting committee. In this meeting, it was discussed how important it is to prepare the Renstra document to become the basis for the faculty to achieve the vision and mission of FIKP in 2030. To prepare the strategic plan document, it is necessary to refer to the Unhas strategic plan, Unhas RPJP, Dean and Rector Performance Contract, Main Performance Indicator Targets (IKU), World Class University (WCU), and Independent Performance Indicator Targets (IKM), The strategic plans of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) , the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), and the the Bappenas (Board of the National Planning and Development). Apart from that, several documents are needed to add references in preparing the FIKP strategic plan, such as the previous FIKP strategic plan for 2020-2024, previous strategic plan reports and performance targets. This is intended to re-evaluate the performance of FIKP which is still considered e needed to be repaired and improved in the future.

In preparing the FIKP strategic plan for 2025-2030, stakeholders will be involved, both internal (lecturers, students and education staff) and external (Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Services/Government Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations/NGOs, Fisheries Industry or alumni users). This activity will be held through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) or Workshop in order to accommodate constructive ideas, concepts and inputs to polish the 2025-2030 FIKP strategic plan document..
At the end of the meeting, the committee chairman developed a work timeline outlining the steps involved in creating the FIKP strategic plan document. These steps included collecting strategic materials and information, creating the dean and chancellor’s performance contract table, preparing the strategic plan document, and then revising the document until the final version produced.. The strategic planning document preparation activity will be completed in September 2024. It is expected that this document can serve as a foundation for the Faculty to enhance their performance and carry out the noble vision of managing marine and fisheries resources in a sustainable manner.
