The quality targets prepared will be a guide for all of us in pursuing excellence in education, research and community service. The Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences annually prepares quality targets. Quality Targets are quality targets to be achieved in an agency within a certain time period. The preparation of quality targets refers to the work contract of the Dean of FIKP with the Rector of Unhas for 2024 and the FIKP Strategic Plan for 2020-2024.

The quality targets that have been prepared involve various aspects, ranging from improving the quality of teaching to increasing research productivity. One of the main focuses is to increase the level of satisfaction of the FIKP academic community and other stakeholders with the programs offered by the faculty. Realizing the importance of measurement and evaluation in achieving quality targets, the faculty also plans to implement a careful monitoring system. “We will not only set these goals, but will also regularly review our progress and make adjustments as needed,” added the Dean.

In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm, work units within the faculty are committed to working together to achieve these goals. The best lecturers have confirmed their readiness to make their best contribution, while the administrative staff promised to support this process by providing the necessary infrastructure and services. Students also do not escape their role in achieving this quality target. The faculty plans to involve them in the evaluation and improvement process, thereby ensuring that the programs offered meet their needs and expectations.

“This quality target is not only about us as a faculty, but about our entire educational ecosystem. With the commitment and cooperation of all parties, I am sure we can reach a new level of excellence in the near future,” concluded the Dean with great optimism. With the concrete steps taken, the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences seems to have established a solid foundation to achieve a higher and more sustainable quality of education in the future.
