Makassar, October 25, 2024 – The Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, Hasanuddin University (FIKP) carried out data entry activities for the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). This activity is part of the faculty’s commitment to maintain and improve the quality of education, research, and community service in accordance with national and international standards. This activity was attended by the Head and Secretary of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Improvement Unit, all study programs within the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, and assistants of each study program head.

SPMI data filling activities are very important to ensure that all academic and non-academic processes in the faculty run in accordance with applicable regulations. This Internal Quality Assurance System is the foundation for the faculty to continue to grow and ensure that our graduates have global competitiveness.

In this activity, the GPMPR team of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries collaborated with all academic and administrative units to collect data related to self-evaluation, resource management, and learning outcomes. This data is then analyzed to see compliance with established quality standards.

This data collection also serves as an evaluation to see the strengths and weaknesses of each study program in carrying out the tridharma of higher education. This data collection will be used to develop recommendations for future improvements, so that each study program can continue to improve the quality of its academic services. The involvement of all parties shows a shared commitment in maintaining the quality of education at FIKP. The completion of SPMI data at FIKP is expected to be a strong foothold in study program accreditation efforts and international certification that is being pursued by the faculty.
