
In order to improve the internal quality of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sciences, GPMPR participated in Internal Quality Audit (AMI) training as well as benchmarking of internal quality assurance system (SPMI) at the Office of Quality Assurance (KJM) at Gajah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta. This activity was held for two days from 13-14 July 2023. The AMI training activity was a series of follow-up activities from the previous training that had been carried out, namely The Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) which was held online on 20-21 June 2023 at LPMPP by KJM UGM. The GPMPR in this training was also accompanied by the Head of LPMPP Unhas Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc., and Head of Internal Quality Assurance Division of LPMPP Unhas Dr. phil. nat. Sri Widodo, S.T.,M.T,.
This AMI training activity aims to enable participants to (1) Carry out internal quality audits in a professional, independent, and objective manner; (2) Identify the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the quality system related to academic activities; (3) Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and development of Tri Dharma Higher Education quality standards. The AMI training was attended by the Chairperson and Secretary of the GPMPR throughout Unhas. Participants from the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences, the activity was attended by Dr. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., MP. as Chair of the GPMPR and Dr. Yayu Anugrah La Nafie, S.T., M.Sc. as Secretary of the GPMPR.
The training was officially opened by the Head of KJM UGM Prof. Dr. Indra Wijaya Kusuma., MBA and also attended by several teaching teams namely: Prof. Dr. L. Hartanto Nugroho, M.Agr., Prof. Dr. Ir. Djagal Wiseso Marseno, M.Agr., Prof. Dr. Ir. Retno Indrati, M.Sc., Dr. Sajarwa, M. Hum., Septimawanto Dwi Prasetyo, M.Sc., Apt. During the training, the participants not only received material but also held discussions with resource persons regarding Internal Quality Audit activities starting from preparation, and implementation to AMI Reporting and carried out auditor simulations according to procedures.
The next activity was Benchmarking SPMI with KJM UGM which was attended by GPMPR throughout Unhas. Participants from FIKP Unhas were not only the Chairperson of the GPM and Secretary but also sent additional participants namely the Head of Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision (Asniar, S.Sos., MM), Head of Planning, Resources, and Alumni (Ir. Amiruddin Najmi, ST., MT), Head of Research, Innovation and Partnerships (Rahmawati, SE., MM), ISO FIKP Coordinator (Kasri, S.Pi., M.SI.), and GPMPR Admin (Sapril, S.Pi, and Sahabuddin). In this activity, participants received a lot of information about work programs, activities and achievements, and strategies from KJM UGM Yogyakarta to support UGM’s vision and mission.
