Makassar, July 11, 2024 – The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries held an activity to evaluate performance and prepare for the ISO 9001: 2015 external quality audit within the faculty today. This activity aims to assess the achievement and improve the quality of education, research, and community service. The meeting, which was attended by all levels of the dean, Hea and Secretary of the Quality Assurance Cluster, as well as representatives from various related units, took place in the GPMPR Room on the 3rd Floor of the FIKP Dean’s Building.
The agenda of this meeting discussed the documents on the results of faculty performance achievements and documents that need to be prepared for audit purposes. Required documents such as quality target documents, quality target achievement reports, risk management, customer satisfaction reports, and others.
Faculty performance evaluation is an annual process carried out to measure and assess various aspects of FIKP performance. This evaluation covers various areas such as teaching quality, research success, community service programs, and the efficiency and effectiveness of faculty management. The main purpose of this evaluation is to ensure that the faculty continues to grow and is able to meet the needs and expectations of students, staff, and the wider community.
Performance evaluation is an important part of the faculty’s efforts to achieve excellence. “Performance evaluation is not only to see our achievements so far, but also to identify areas that need improvement. Thus, we can continue to improve the quality of education and services we provide,” said the Dean of FIKP.
This evaluation process involves the entire academic community, including lecturers, students, and education personnel. Active participation from all parties is essential to ensure that the evaluation is conducted comprehensively and objectively. Some of the methods used in this evaluation include student satisfaction surveys, lecturer performance assessments, academic data analysis, and study program reviews.
Along with the performance evaluation, FIKP also held a preparation meeting for the ISO 9001:2015 external quality audit. ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management systems that is recognized globally. This audit aims to ensure that the quality management system at FIKP has met international standards and the faculty is committed to continuous improvement.
The audit was conducted by a team of independent auditors from PT SAI Global Indonesia. The audit process involves document review, interviews with staff, and direct observation of existing processes in the faculty. Auditors will assess the extent to which FIKP has implemented ISO 9001:2015 principles, such as customer focus, leadership, people involvement, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management.
The performance evaluation and audit of ISO 9001:2015 is an important step for FIKP Universitas Hasanuddin in its efforts to achieve excellence. By involving the entire academic community and applying international standards, FIKP is committed to continuously improving the quality of education, research, and community service. The results of this evaluation and audit will be the basis for the faculty to develop an action plan for future improvement and development, so that it can continue to provide the best for students and society.
