The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) successfully held an ISO SMM 9001: 2015 audit which was held on June 24, 2024. The audit was conducted by Hasanuddin University’s internal auditor team, Prof. Dahlang Tahir, M.Sc. and Dr. Eng. Ir. Wardi, ST., M.Eng. This team of auditors has the task of ensuring the quality management system at FIKP is in accordance with international standards.
In this audit process, various operational and administrative aspects at FIKP are evaluated, including resource management, learning processes, academic services, to research and community service activities. The auditor team appreciated FIKP’s commitment in maintaining and improving the quality of educational services and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
Dean of FIKP, Prof. Safruddin, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude and pride for this achievement. “The implementation of this audit is part of our efforts to continuously improve the quality of education and services in our faculty. The positive results of this audit prove that we are on the right track in running an effective and efficient quality management system.”
In this audit, there were no findings, but several recommendations for improvement were submitted by the auditor team as material for evaluation and improvement in the future. FIKP is committed to immediately following up on these recommendations in order to maintain a better quality management system.
With the success of this audit, FIKP hopes to continue to make a positive contribution to the development of marine and fisheries science in Indonesia and produce graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the global arena in accordance with Unhas’ mission to realize a World Class University (WCU).
